Privacy Policy

This policy explains what LPN NCLEX Prep AI collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect what the platform needs to teach you — nothing is sold.

1. What we collect

Account data — name, email address and password, handled by our authentication provider Clerk.
Study data — lessons you open, quiz and exam answers, scores, flashcard ratings, bookmarks, your study plan and your target exam date. This is what powers your progress page, readiness score and weak-area targeting.
AI conversations — the questions you send the AI tutor or coach, and its replies.
Billing data — your plan, subscription status and renewal date. Card numbers go directly to Stripe; we never receive or store them.
Technical data — basic logs needed to run and secure the Service.

2. Why we use it

To give you the Service: your lessons, scores, plan and progress.
To personalize study: diagnose weak areas and build your study plan.
To bill you and manage your subscription.
To keep the Service secure and enforce plan limits.
To answer your support requests.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your study data or your AI conversations for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors, each only for its job:

Clerk — authentication (your name, email, login).
Stripe — payments and subscription management (your email and billing details). Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to what you type into their checkout.
OpenAI — powers the AI tutor and coach. The text of your question, and for the coach a summary of your scores, is sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. It is sent through OpenAI’s API, which does not use it to train their models.
MongoDB Atlas and our hosting provider — store and serve the application.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account and study data for as long as your account exists, because your progress history is the product. If you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting (typically invoices, for 7 years).

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Email support@lpnnclexprep.ai and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU/UK you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object and to complain to your data protection authority; if you are in California you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and to delete. We do not sell personal information under either law.

6. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are handled by Clerk and never stored by us, and card data never touches our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you.

7. Children

The Service is for adults preparing for a nursing licensure exam and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
